BSRM is a leading steel manufacturing group in Bangladesh which produces bars, deformed bars, structural sections, flat bars as well as billets.

The new LF and caster ordered by BSRM, which will be installed in a new building within Mirsarai steelmaking complex -located in Chittagong (Bangladesh)- will increase the production capacity of BSRM of 480,000 tpy of billets.

The 55-ton ladle furnace, equipped with two ladle transfer cars to give maximum operational flexibility, will refine steel coming from two induction furnaces.

The three strands, 8-m radius caster, designed to produce 160-mm square billets will be equipped with liftable ladle turret, liftable tundish car, electro-mechanical stopper rods, mould powder feeding system, mould electromagnetic stirrer. The electromechanical oscillation table is designed for future Hy-Power® (Danieli patented hydraulic drive system) installation.

All the key technological equipment will be supplied by Danieli including electrical equipment, L1and L2 automation systems from Danieli Automation.

Presently BSRM is operating two ladle furnaces, two conticasters and two rolling mills supplied by Danieli.
